SILVERWATERS VINEYARD

Silverwaters Vineyard is located in San Remo, Victoria, overlooking Westernport Bay, where the water is known to shimmer shades of silver. The 7-acre vineyard was established in 2005 and has Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz.

The label was well-known by locals and produced high quality wine for many years. We are excited to have a local Gippsland winemaker, Marcus Satchell, making the wine for us. Marcus has many years of experience and is very well respected within the wine industry.

All the wine that is labelled under the ‘Silverwaters Vineyard’ label are cool climate wines that are produced from our single site vineyard, where grapevines are grown in rich and fertile soil.

Emily explains how she and Hercules (Herco) and their family began their Silverwaters journey:

After a long weekend away to Phillip Island, we saw an 18-acre property that had a vineyard for sale and, like most decisions in our life, we were spontaneous, took a risk and bought it.  We thought it was a great opportunity for the kids to grow up on a farm and near the beach.  We knew nothing about the wine industry or how to manage a vineyard, so we spent the next six years doing up the property and learning the ropes of the industry. 

We were fortunate to have local winemakers who were always willing to teach and guide us.  For many years we sold the grapes, this allowed us to perfect the running of the vineyard. We are excited that a lot of hard work we are finally launching our wine.

Although we do not have a cellar door, our wine is available online.  We offer free local delivery and free shipping Australia wide on orders of 6 bottles or more.
