French Island Vineyards
Merely 60km’s South-East of Melbourne CBD yet remains wonderfully isolated by the waters of Western Port Bay. French Island, nearly twice the size of nearby Phillip Island, is mostly a National Park teeming with birds and native animals, especially Koalas.
Our historic estate located on the water's edge established its first vineyard in 1998. Winemaker Peter Hatton makes cool climate Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. All vines are hand pruned, fruit is handpicked and we bottle on onsite to control quality.
Cellar Door is open on Sundays from September to April for wine tastings, grazing platters and delicious treats from our wood fired oven. Bookings essential.
