Wine SHOW
The Gippsland Wine Show is a unique opportunity for exhibitors to see their wines in context with fellow producers.
Vintage conditions, management techniques and knowledge can be shared, putting us all in a stronger position to strive for improvement. Gippsland wines are creating quite a stir at a national level. There is a lot of positive interest emerging about our region and the wine awards are a terrific vehicle for us to band together to capitalise on this momentum.
We thank our very experienced judging panel for giving their time to our wine awards. The panel was again led by esteemed Yarra Yering General Manager and Chief Winemaker, Sarah Crowe, with Crown Casino’s Director of Wine, Matt Brooke, and Shadowfax’s Chief Winemaker, Alister Timms.
The success of our annual Show is a credit to the efficiency and diligence of our stewards, who do a wonderful job in supporting the judges.
And we greatly appreciate the support of our naming sponsor, Westpac, and that of our many sponsors from across our diverse region and from the wine industry. We trust you all enjoyed a great night at our Exhibitor Tasting and Awards ceremony.
Those who provided items for the well-contested auction also helped us to raise vital funds to continue the work of Wine Gippsland and our projects supporting food+drink tourism in the region.
Congratulations to all our 2021 award winners. There are some gorgeous hand-blown glass decanters and carafes taking pride of place on shelves across Gippsland!
Thank you to all guests who supported us on a memorable evening event that took our minds off the lockdowns and trials of 2021.
We hope to see you all again in 2022.
